Key Development Research Involvement
Over the last six years, we have been part of a team that has conducted over 2 national sample surveys, worked with a multiplicity of in-country partners, and provided survey technical assistance in Morocco.
Worked collaboratively with Afrobarometer national partners at ArabBarometer, the Centre for Strategic Studies (University of Jordan), SIGMA Conseil, 121Polling and the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics, to complete the surveys.
Since Round 5 (2011/2012) we have worked closely with 121Polling and the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics to design and draw nationally representative survey sample for Algeria. The samples are random, nationally representative, stratified, area-cluster probability sample of the adult (18 years and over) population across 16 Regions and 2 Urban/Rural strata breakdown, with +/- 3% margin of error. The surveys were conducted in Arabic, being the most dominant local language, across the subregions of Oued Ed-Dahab-Lagouira, Laayoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra, Guelmim Es Semara, Souss-Massa-Draa, Gharb-Chrarda-Beni-Hssen, Chaouia-Ouardigha, Marrakech-Tensift-Al-Haouz, Oriental, Grand Casablanca, Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer, Doukkala-Abda, Tadla-Azilal, Meknes-Tafilalet, Fès-Boulemane, Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate, Tanger-Tetouan.
With input into quality assurance, we are honored to have directly contributed to the successful completion of over 2 national sample surveys in Morocco, including surveys in 2012, 2015 and as well as a survey planned in 2018.
