Day 1 Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to
Kampala for overnight at Imperial Royale or a similar facility.
Day 2 The Source of the river Nile
Depart Kampala by 8.00am; drive to Jinja the second largest town in Uganda. It is characterised by the
Asian quarters, the brewery industries and the colourful gardens. Visit the Source of the Nile on Lake
Victoria, the monument of Gandhi, and then proceed to the “Bujagali Falls”, to view the spectacular
rapids on the river Nile a few kilometres from the source. OPTIONAL: Try the unforgettable emotion of
the white water rafting, which is one of the main attraction in Jinja. Then, return to Kampala for Dinner
and overnight at Imperial Royale or a similar facility.
Day 3 The Marvelous Murchison Falls
You will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park early morning, the largest protected area in
Uganda, with 3.840 Kms, which is named after the falls on the Victoria Nile, it divides the park in two
sectors. Relax a bit at a situated site on the top of the spectacular falls, where you can see the Nile’s
perfected beauty, and marvel as it compresses and squeezes itself from over 1 kilometer wide down
through 8 meter canyon. The 43 meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful
rainbow in a plume of spray – the best thing to ever happen to the Nile. Lunch; In the afternoon, embark
on a game drive on the Northern bank where you will be able to spot elephants, lions, cape buffalos,
Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribi, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, if you are lucky,
leopards. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge or at a similar facility.
Day 4 The boat cruise on the river Nile
Embark on an early morning game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, you
will safari upstream by boat on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls just ten meters from the
“Devil’s Cauldron.” There you can marvel at toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17-kilometer
stretch you may also see elephants, waterbucks and Uganda kobs. This is also the habitat of many bird
species including goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hombills, cormorants
and the rare shoebill stork. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5 Fort Portal at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Transfer from Murchison Falls driving Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift
Valley. We ensure that you have packed lunch, drive through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro kindgom,
passing though verdant countryside, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You arrive in the
colorful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled
“Mountains of the Moon” (Rwenzori).Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel or Similar facility.
Day 6 Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale national park.
Early morning you will head to the primate capital of the world for the chimpanzee tracking experience. Have lunch then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. Dinner and
overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba lodge for Dinner and over night
Day 7 The boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Take an early morning cup of coffee before you embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi
tracks and Queens mile in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted
hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if lucky, the leopard, plus a lot of small animals and birds.
Drive back to the lodge for breakfast. After Lunch enjoy the unique two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga
Channel in the afternoon. This trip goes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many
other animals may be seen drinking at the water edge. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous
with well over 550 resident species. Return for dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba lodge.
Day 8 The Kyambura Chimp Trekking
Early morning drive to Kyambura forest reserve for chimpanzee trekking in the dense rain forest the
activity starts at 8.00am. Lunch and proceed to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth via
Maramagambo Forest. Proceed to Bwindi for dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs or
Silverback lodge bwindi.
Day 9 The encounter with mountains gorillas
Morning briefing from the rangers at 8.00 am before you enter the gorilla sanctuary. The thrill of your
encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets
because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each
encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults
feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful
display. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest, so ancient that
survived the last ice age. A recently proclaimed World Heritage site, it’s one of the most biologically
diverse areas on earth and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world population of
mountain gorillas – believed to number just 600. There’s also a substantial chimpanzee population and
research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which these two apes live together. Return for
dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs or Silverback lodge bwindi. FB
Day 10 The wonderful Lake Bunyonyi
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Lunch break then take on afternoon boat ride to some of the
islands on the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi overland camp. B
Day 11 Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National park. Arrive in time for a boat ride on the Lake. The presence of Lake
Mburo within the park is a blessing worth mentioning. The lake is rich with a diversity of animal and plant
species which will be viewed clearly as you are on the boat trip. Expect to see hippopotami and birds like
African Fin foot, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle; you may also sight the rare Shoebill
Stork. You can opt to take on a short nature walk after the boat ride. All these will furnish your visit with
pride. Dinner and over night stay at Mburo safari lodge.
Day 12 Departure
